This qualification will provide staff members  with both essential and compliant training, ensuring the welfare of themselves , colleagues and customers.

Course Content

  • the importance of food safety procedures and complying with the law
  • microbiological, chemical, physical and allergenic hazards and their control
  • good temperature control and stock rotation
  • the importance of good personal hygiene and preventing contamination, including handwashing, protective clothing, and cuts
  • keeping work areas and equipment clean and safe
  • Reporting procedures
  • Safe waste disposal
  • pest control

Entry Requirements

The qualification is available to learners aged 14 or over. No previous knowledge or experience is required.

Assessment

How the qualification is assessed:

Learners are assessed by a 20 question multiple choice examination paper at the end of the training session. In order to be successful you will need to score a minimum of 13 out of 20.

Completion Certificate

On successful completion learners will receive a level 2 food safety certificate which is issued by Highfield Qualifications.  The qualification should be refreshed every three years to ensure compliance with legislation and any in food safety  changes in requirements.

Course Prices

The individual price for the Level 2 Food Safety course is just £45 per person. The price includes a course book, note pad, pens, training pack, examination and certificate. There are no hidden fees.
